Hunt Prospect for Sale

Jethro is 8 years old this month, he is 15.2~15.3ish.  (I don't have a stick).  He has been in two Buck Brannaman clinics, one in Allentown, PA, and one in Walkertown.  He's done beautifully in both, Buck really likes him.  He's done a lot of travel, loads well, is good with the vet and farrier.  We have always had front shoes on him, barefoot in the back.  We have 8 horses so it was more of a means of expense.  He started out as my husband's ranch horse, we sent him to a trainer and he roped off of him and worked horses with him.  We've used him as a turn back horse when we cut the cows.  We've used him for cutting, but he's a bit tall for competition.  I took over working him this year.  I've done dressage work with him to get him straight, and moving forward.  He leg yields on both sides, once he's warmed up he gets a good rythym going and a nice tempo.  When he's straight, he picks up both leads, and goes on the bridle and between the aids.  He has a big canter, really nice.  I haven't jumped in 20 years, but introduced him to a small jump, and he never hesitated, he loved it.  He's never had a soundness problem, except he over-reached in the trailer once and that made him sore a bit.  We've taken him to the American Tobacco Trail about 4 times this winter, and he loved it.  We had long wooden, icy bridges to cross, and an underpass, lots of dogs and people, baby carriages, joggers, bikers, horses, you name it, he looked at them and went right by like there was nothing to it.  If he has a rider with just the slightest bit of confidence, he'll do it all.  He is sweet, has a good temperment with other horses.  He's been turned out with mares, and/or geldings and handles the situation without getting into trouble, or causing any.  He's young and likes to play if there is a willing partner, but never rough. He's used to being in a stall, that's no problem.  We turn out in the day, and put them up at night.  He's been to some cutting shows with Ronnie, and handled being in the stall there fine.  He's basically a good boy.  I hate to sell him!  I have 2 mares that I ride, and that takes up my time.  Would love to have you come check him out!

Field Hunter for Sale
andre

"Andre the Giant" as we call him at the barn, is a 16.2, 9 year old registered AQHA gelding. He is your next field hunter!  Andre could easily adapt to most riders and most disciplines.  He has three comfortable, balanced gaits, and can be ridden bareback in a halter.  He is great on trails.  He has been fox hunting, schooled dressage, ridden on lots of steep mountain trails and in indoor arenas.  He will easily move forward on trails when asked, and is very very quiet in the arena.  He has been a trusted lesson horse for children ages 8 and up, and adult beginners, but is fun for experienced riders, too!  He is a wonderful confidence builder.  Safe, quiet, uncomplicated.   $4200, reasonable offers considered.
